La Petite Maison's Cocktail – How to Make It

WHere is an easy interpretation of a cocktail featured on our latest drinks list. Designed as a party-sized premix that is bursting full of essence of a Christmas time, making it excellent for your holiday party. Save the extra citrus syrup to use in morning drinks, desserts, or for another batch of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Yields 10 servings

For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar

For the Premix (produces 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Instructions

Making the Cordial: Combine the listed ingredients inside a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the burner allowing it to cool fully. Decant into a sterilised bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it will last for about a month.

To make Premix: Mix the specified liquids in a big jug, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain preferably using a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.

To serve: Add 85ml of your cocktail base to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, gently stirring carefully for one minute until cold. Strain to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch with a light spray of the essential oil over the top.
